Ziggy’s Gigs this Week

Hey, everybody. Just wanted to update you all on the 2 gigs I have lined up for this week.

First up, TODAY, on the 25 of July I’ll be performing together with Swaggamuffin and General Zooz (of the Reggae Rajahs) at O.T.B., where we are launching L.L. Cool Thursdays. There’ll free cocktails for ladies all night, so get your drink on!

We’ll be playing some good ol’ Hip Hop and Rap to bring back the good old days of clubbing, then later at night we will get a little more rowdy with some drum and bass and jungle. Swagga and me will be mashing it up, going tune for tune for most of the night, so it should be a good ol time.

Then on Friday the 26th, I’ll be playing as part of the Reggae Rajahs together with Mr. Herbalist at the “Fix Up!”. Reggae Rajahs will finally team up with long time Uk Indian veteran Dj Uri. The scratchmaster and the Rajahs have a funky old school vibe planned for the night. So come through and get elemental with us when we flex our old school hip hop muscle.

What Ziggy is up to in July…

I’ve got a bunch of things happening in July, so I thought I’d post an update to make it easier to follow it all:

1^st and 2^nd July –

First of we just finished the first 2 screenings of our Movie “Naari Chakra” in Chandigar at the beginning of the month.

6^th July –

Private Screening of “Naari Charka” in New Delhi at Iron Curtain in Hauz Kahs Village

10^th July –

Bubble & Wine –I am playing my first official gig as part for the Reggae Rajahs. I’ve been part of the Rajah Army for a long time now, but always played separate from the core group. This month I am finally joining the crew in our first 2 gigs together. On the 10th we will be shelling it down with Su-Real and Flash Hardcor at Raasta. Boom!

11^th July –

Kahn Market Music Festival – Music, Food and stalls, what more do you need? I’ll be playing a 4 hour set from 4 to 12 (maybe longer if the 5-0 doesn’t show up). I’ll be busting out a wide variety of music from Hip Hop to Glitch to.. whatever, hey, it’s a long set, so I’ma be having some fun with it! More info coming soon

Naari Chakra accepted at The Indian Independent Film Festival!

We are proud to announce that our first feature length movie, on which I worked as the Director Of Photography. Editor and Screenplay writer, has been Accepted at The Indian Independent Film Festival. “Naari Chakra”, written and directed by Dipanshu Dang, has been accepten in the BEST 50 FIlms Category and will be one of the very few feature length films being screened there. It will be screened  in Bangalore – From August 15 to August 18, 2013 (4 days) at Freedom Park, Bangalore. India.

This is our first really big milestone with this movie and we hope it’s the first of many. We just had our first 2 screenings in Chandigarh, which had great receptions. Next we will have a private screening in New Delhi on the 6th, with more dates and cities to come.

The story revolves around the chakras of women trafficking and women empowerment in the society, with a message for all women to never give up and fight back.

The film highlights a story of a girl being abducted and forcefully introduced into the prostitution racket. Her brother who is an army officer unravels her kidnapping, and gets her out of the whole underground plot. The story then moves on to the healing part of the protagonist, her intellectual fight against the society, and rehabilitation by instilling yogic values in Sandhya.
